I totally understand you when it comes to regulations imposed by the city - its tough to navigate. I wish that the policies would change, but we need to take it one step at a time with small efforts that we can manage such as even a small herb garden in your windowsill. I don't know if my generation will do any better, but I sure hope that awareness and my posts can get people thinking of solutions! :D Thanks for all of your support!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12443365159088908865noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7336875063271071538.post-43141396678668411432016-06-30T17:46:46.227-07:002016-06-30T17:46:46.227-07:00Hi Ray, when we moved to Irvine I wanted to do a l...Hi Ray, when we moved to Irvine I wanted to do a lovely rock garden with less or No grass in the front but.... The homeowners would not permit it. They wanted a great percentage of lawn! I totally agree with your sentiments about a veggie garden in the back garden! I've said many times I wish I had done so! I can't eat my roses! As far as trees I have ut they are very invasive as you may know! If we had larger lots that would be fine, even though my lot is a fair size! Those ficus are vicious! To say nothing of having to keep them trimmed 3 times a year! Becomes costly. I wholeheartedly agree with you! Perhaps your generation will do better than we did! Love reading your sentiments about a BETTER way of taking care. Of our planet! Keep it up!Norahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04892836373213818043noreply@blogger.com
